About

My love for food and the environment comes from growing up in Sarnia. I spent most of my childhood swimming in the lake or exploring the massive park by my home. The day finished sitting around the table enjoying my Mom’s home cooked meals. Weekend mornings were pancakes and weekend afternoons were neighbourhood snowball fights. While homemade meals were the staple, I was lucky to have parents who let me enjoy the deliciousness known as processed food (Kraft Dinner with hot dogs, anyone?). It is really no surprise I ended up with a love of food and the outdoors.

I am a proud Registered Dietitian. I obtained by degree in Applied Human Nutrition at the University of Guelph followed by a dietetic internship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, where I was then hired to work as a clinical dietitian for the past 5 years. I have gained extensive experience in the areas of oncology, palliative care, renal disease, gastrointestinal disease, diabetes, and heart disease. Currently I am pursing my Master of Public Health at the University of Toronto.

As for the witch part, I’ve always loved them. Witches in history were often intelligent & influential women sticking it to some oppressor. I also admire their association with the natural world. Food itself is powerful in the way it nourishes both our body and soul and I like to think this influence is a little bit of witchcraft.
